Below you will find our absolute favourite iced matcha latte recipe. You can be your own barista at home when you follow this easy recipe - and make a perfect iced matcha latte, every time.
What you'll need (for one serving)
1 tsp of matcha powder
1/2 cup of 80 degrees Celsius water
unsweetened vanilla oat milk (or any milk of your choice)
bamboo whisk
small bowl
ice cubes
electric milk frother (optional)
To begin, first boil 1/2 cup of water. Make sure to not let it boil past 80 degrees Celsius, as any temperature hotter then that may burn the matcha powder. While your water is heating up on the stove, measure out 1 tsp of matcha powder in a small bowl. Our favourite matcha powder to use is from Davids Tea. We like to use their matcha matsu powder - its caffeine level is ranked as medium, and allows for the most creamy and smooth matcha latte ever! Once the water has reached 80 degrees Celsius, simply pour the hot water over the matcha powder and begin whisking! We recommend using a bamboo whisk to do this as you can get a smooth, frothy matcha with ease. Whisk in a "Z" motion for about 60 seconds - until your mixture is consistently frothy throughout. Next, add ice cubes in your favourite glass and pour your frothy matcha mixture in. Now its time to sweeten it up! You can use your favourite type of milk - but we think oat milk tastes the best in this latte. Specifically the Earth's Own Unsweetened Vanilla Oat Milk - it adds the perfect amount of sweetness without tasting sugary or artificial. You can really make your latte feel professional by frothing the milk first. Froth your milk with an electric frother before pouring it in your glass to add a light-airiness texture to your latte. Now all thats left to do is stir your latte around and - you're done! Wasn't that easy?
Impress your family and friends with this caffe-worthy latte and enjoy all the health benefits it has to offer!
Xoxo,
